From October 16th to 23th, CKXU 88.3 FM is overjoyed to host FUNdrive 2026: DINO DOOM! This annual fundraiser provides essential support to the station and emphasizes the community-centric and foundational efforts made by the CKXU Staff and Volunteers to garner donations from our community.  

 

This fall, the fundraiser’s theme DINO DOOM draws on Retro 8bit gaming as we aim to level up and defeat the dinosaurs (bills) trying to take down the radio!  We’re hoping to hack and slash our bills this year by utilizing our broadcast to give you colossal community-generated content guaranteed to bring you out of extinction! FUNdrive 2026: DINO DOOM programming promises to deliver infinite power ups throughout the week! 

 

We invite the community to celebrate another year of FUNdrive with the CKXU Crew as we work to raise $15,000 to HACK AND SLASH OUR BILLS! Making radio, keeping the broadcast equipment in tip-top shape, and maintaining our Broadcast tower lease and utilities accounts for 70% of our annual operating expenses and it’s thanks to amazing donors and donors-to-be (like YOU!) that we’re able to pay these bills and keep the good ol’ CKXU tunes a flowing!
