FUNdrive Coordinator, 2019 Job Posting
FUNdrive Coordinator, 2019
The CKXU Radio Society is looking to hire a FUNdrive Coordinator for a five-month contract.
Accountable to the Executive Director/Station Manager, the FUNdrive Coordinator, 2019 will support CKXU’s annual week-long fundraising endeavour, “FUNdrive” from March 15th - 22th, 2019.
CKXU’s FUNdrive is the time of year when the station actively solicits the public’s financial support in order to maintain general operations, fund capital projects, build resources in the community, and grow as an organization. Over the course of the week, CKXU’s programming shifts towards celebrating volunteer work, local music, cultural development, acknowledging previous donor support, and more! Swag incentives are given to people in exchange for financial backing, and there are FUNdrive-themed local events with partner clubs and organizations. As FUNdrive Coordinator, you will be in charge of many facets of FUNdrive activity.
Specific areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Working with the station staff to track/manage pledges and donations
Working with CKXU’s Volunteer Coordinator to ensure volunteer positions are filled for all volunteer shifts related to the day-to-day operations of FUNdrive 2019
Contacting local groups, organizations, clubs etc to coordinate event details, as well as volunteer requirements
Maintaining extended office hours at CKXU headquarters during the week of fundraising
Providing swag pick up and admin support by maintaining posted office hours that extend outside of normal staffing hours after the week of fundraising has run its course
Task tracking throughout the duration of the contract
Please note: During the week of FUNdrive (March 18th – 25th), it will be required that the candidate be present at CKXU headquarters to aid in overseeing much of the FUNdrive admin processes. This will likely be a large time commitment.
