Southern Alberta's only out-door record fair held annually at Galt Gardens in downtown Lethbridge, featuring live music and record vendors from across Alberta. Love & Records brings together a community of like-minded people to share in their love of music in it's many media formats.

Event Details
When:
- Saturday September 14th, 2013;
- 11:00AM until 5:00PM;
What to expect:
- 6 hours of fun in the park;
- A gathering of like-minded music lovers;
- Food will be available on site;
- Live music by great musicians;
- Vendors from across Alberta - selling everything from vinyl to tapes, posters to clothing, and everything in between;
What to bring:
- A frisbee or hackisack;
- A lawn-chair;
- Camera;
- Cash for merchandise (there will be no ATM onsite);
- Family & friends;
- Good Vibrations;
- Reusable bag(s) for your new records;
- Sunscreen;
Cost:
- Entrance to the event is FREE;
- Each vendor will have their own price structure for merchandise;
- 50/50 draw tickets are $2;
- Raffle tickets are $2;
Where:
- Galt Gardens, downtown Lethbridge Alberta;
- On the corner of 3rd Avenue and 5th Street South
- Please try to bike, carpool, walk, or use public transit to get to the event.
Event History
2011
- The first year of the event;
- 7 music vendors from across Alberta selling vinyl, CDs, posters, memorabilia, and rarities;
- 2 vendors selling clothing and accessories;
- 3 food vendors;
- 6 bands from Calgary, Lethbridge, and area;
- Over 500 people in attendance;
- The attendees were from a broad range of people – the student, the young family, the established vinyl collector;
- Second year of the event;
- Between 1,500 - 2,000 attendees;
- 24 Vendors from Alberta and British Columbia;
- Beer gardens on site;
- Received grant funding from Heart of Our City and Community Initiatives Project;
- Several major sponsors, including: Downtown Lethbridge, Andrew Hilton, Big Rock, Atco;
- A coordinated strategy helped increase awareness throughout Southern Alberta;
- CKXU alone generated over $16,000.00 in cash and in-kind donations in support of the event;
- Over $6,500.00 is being re-invested in Love & Records 2013!!
2013
- Third year of the event;
- Anticipating over 1,500 attendees;
- Space for up to 30 vendors;
- Possibility of a beer gardens;
- Seeking grant funding;
- Seeking sponsorship;
- Target market is the music-lover, including: the music collector, the live music fan, the festival-goer, the campus-community radio supporter;
